Interview: Orsolya Rózsa, Head of HR, Medi Radiopharma Kft.

There are numerous success stories behind the Charity Team Building. What is the key to happy clients and memorable programs? In this interview, we aim to answer questions that might be on the minds of most customers. We asked Orsolya Rózsa (Head of HR) about their experience with the Medi Radiopharma Kft team, where the company’s employees built dollhouses and castles for children’s institutions in Érd and Budaörs.

How did the idea to organize a charity team-building event come about?

“Our company values paying attention to one another and helping each other out in our daily lives, which helps us become a more cohesive community. We organize team-building events twice a year, where, aside from the planned activities, we also make room for informal conversations. A few years ago, we decided that we wanted to choose a charity program and contribute to the common good.”

Were there any specific expectations for the team-building event?

“We didn’t have any extra expectations for the occasion. Naturally, we had certain needs that we express for every team-building event: there should be group activities, there should be time for informal conversations, and we should have fun while doing it.”

How did you choose the program?

“The decision wasn’t easy, as it’s challenging to find a program that suits everyone in a company of our size. What was important for us was that we wanted to help children. The Charity Team Building program gave us the opportunity to build dollhouses and castles for those in need in both Budaörs and Érd, while also giving us the chance to unwind.”

How did the colleagues feel about the event? Was there anything particularly surprising or exceeded expectations?

“Our colleagues had a fantastic time. At first, there were some reservations and doubts, which the program managed to dispel almost immediately upon arrival. It was a unique opportunity that exceeded every expectation and individual requirement. The fact that at the end of the event, the team personally thanked everyone for their participation is the best proof. It’s hard to describe the feeling of knowing that with our hands-on work, we created something that will bring long-term happiness to others! The result spoke for itself, as colleagues ended the day with satisfied smiles, and the dollhouses and castles found their worthy new owners.”

What was the after-effect of the event among your colleagues?

“After the team-building event, we received positive feedback from our colleagues, and the charity team building program is still a topic of conversation among them. The expectations for our future team building events have certainly been set higher, thanks to the Charity Team Building.”

Do you think the team’s cohesion has changed?

“The shared creation for a good cause – which required collaborative thinking and precise execution – definitely had a positive impact on the team. We are confident that they will be able to apply the experience when they face each other in their daily work.”

Do you know what the next program will be?

“We don’t know for sure yet, but we will definitely continue with the charity theme.”

We then asked Orsolya Rózsa about her experience working with the Charity Team Building during organizing the event.

What was working with us like?

“Working with you was fantastic, communication was smooth and met our expectations, everything went according to plan. I would particularly highlight your professionalism and flexibility.”

Why would you recommend this kind of team building event to others?

“I believe that charity  team-building programs offer great opportunities for other companies as well. Employees can experience the joy of creating something together during the creative tasks, personal relationships can become deeper, and collaboration can become easier. During our charity program, everyone found the task that suited them, and they could work freely and happily, without any pressure.”
